Follow The Stars In Richmond During Saturday's USL-2 Semi-Final

For the second consecutive season the Cleveland City Stars will take part in the USL-2 Semi-Final round. After defeating the Western Mass Pioneers at Krenzler Stadium on Wednesday, Cleveland will now travel to Richmond to take on the second place Richmond Kickers Saturday at 7 p.m.

It will be the third meeting of the season between the clubs. The Stars dropped a 3-1 decision in Richmond on July 19th and the two sides played to a scoreless draw in Cleveland on June 28th.

The Stars will look to change their fortunes against the Kickers as Cleveland stands 0-2-3 in the all-time series with Richmond. The clubs played to identical 1-1 draws during the 2007 regular season while also meeting in the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup where Richmond prevailed 2-1.

Ryan Stewart"This is obviously a huge match for our franchise," said Cleveland Head Coach Martin Rennie. "We are in the semi-finals for the second time and this year we want to advance to the finals and ultimately bring a championship home to Cleveland. We have always played tough matches with Richmond and I'm sure this will be another great match-up. We look forward to the fans coming down with us to Virginia and giving our club the boost it may need to get over the hump against one of the best teams in our league."

For the unlucky fans that do not attend the match, there will also be a live webcast on the CCS Website starting at 7 p.m.
