
Flying Squirrels To Hold Job Fair On January 20th And 23rd

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will hold a job fair at The Diamond to fill opportunities on their game day staff for the 2010 season. The job fair will consist of two separate sessions with the first being conducted on Wednesday, January 20th from 5 PM - 8 PM, and the second on Saturday, January 23rd from 10 AM - 1 PM. Candidates interested in gaining a position with the Flying Squirrels should come to The Diamond, where members of the Flying Squirrels' front office will be conducting on-site interviews for all positions available. The team will also hold tryouts for the role of team mascot immediately following Saturday's job fair session, beginning at 1 PM.
"We are extremely happy to be able to give so many Richmonders the opportunity to be a part of the team that will bring baseball back to Richmond," said Flying Squirrels' Vice President/COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "Our game day staff is the backbone of our operation, and is vitally important to the effort of providing a memorable experience for every fan that comes out to The Diamond."

Candidates interested in gaining employment with the Flying Squirrels do not need to contact the team prior to the job fair. Resumes will be accepted, but are not required for employment. Candidates will be asked to fill out an application upon their arrival at the job fair.
***Those planning on participating in the Flying Squirrels' mascot tryouts, should arrive at The Diamond no later than 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 23rd. Candidates should wear athletic attire, as the tryouts will consist of physical elements, including but not limited to: Obstacle Course, Dance Auditions, Agility and Gymnastic Ability Testing.***
