Flying Mummies Host Season Finale, Seek Sweep of Kingfish

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Richmond Flying Mummies (11-24, 28-43) host the Kenosha Kingfish (16-19, 37-33) Saturday evening at Historic Don McBride Stadium to conclude the 2026 Northwoods League Regular season after a historic win on Friday.

The Flying Mummies are celebrating Fan Appreciation Night at McBride, offering giveaways and other special events throughout the game to say thank you to the fans.

Richmond took game one of this series 10-0, marking the first shutout pitched in franchise history. Jaden Alberson went seven scoreless innings, securing his second win of the season, while Bo Anselmi held it down for the final two frames.

Offensively, the Mummies connected on ten team hits, including seven extra-base hits, the second-most in a game this season. Jackson Thomas secured three doubles, with one each sent by Colton Sims and Weston Mazey as well. Drew Phillips was credited with a triple that had the potential for an inside-the-park home run, but it was Eli Bennett who cleared the fence on a three-run bomb in the first inning that left little room for doubt.

The postseason picture in the Great Lakes East was set yesterday, as the Royal Oak Leprechauns clinched the second-half crown with a win over the Kalamazoo Growlers. Royal Oak will now face Kenosha in a best-of-three series in the first round of the playoffs next week.

Concluding the season on the mound for the Flying Mummies is Kaagan Kendall (0-0, 8.41 ERA), as the Wayne County native makes his fourth start and seventh appearance. Kenosha's James Harrington (0-0, 13.50 ERA) is set to make his first start in the final game, and second appearance overall.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM EST, with gates opening one hour prior. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate, or online via the Richmond Flying Mummies website. A livestream is also available on FloSports.
