Flyers Announce 2010 Schedule And More

Schaumburg, IL. The Schaumburg Flyers minor league baseball team will open its 100-game, 2010 Northern League season on the road Thursday, May 20 against the Rockford RiverHawks in Rockford, IL.

The Flyers will regain home field advantage on Tuesday, May 25 for the anticipated home opener against the Kansas City T-Bones. To kick off their "Two-Dollar-Tuesdays" promotion, Flyers fans will enjoy $2 beer or soda, a $2 designated gift shop item (while supplies last) and a $2 ticket - with purchase of any regular priced ticket. Those with peanut allergies will be able to enjoy the ballgame without worry because the Flyers have designated May 25 as "Peanut Free Day". No peanuts or any food with peanut oil will be sold at the park throughout the game.

Flyers Energy Dance Team A fan favorite from seasons past will return to Alexian Field for 2010. Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka brings the Schaumburg Flyers' Energy Team to life this year with the Fireflies. Led by Captain Carrie Ann Szczesny, the Fireflies will engage the fans with exciting dance routines and on-field promotions.

"We're excited to have the original Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka sponsoring the Energy Team this year, and expect the Fireflies to light up the action at Alexian Field," says Liz Hamilton, Flyers' Promotions Manager.
