The Rebels got off and running early, scoring 43 points in the first quarter behind the sharp shooting of Wayne Arnold (6'4''-G-84, college: Tennessee St.) and Rodney Kirtz (6'3''-G, college: Mercer). The Rage depended on an attacking style of play from Karl Hollingsworth (6'5''-F/G-82) to stay close through 2 quarters.
