Florida Tarpons News Release
ESTERO, FL - The Florida Tarpons are excited to announce the signing of veteran QB Chris Wallace.
Chris Wallace is set to embark on his 11th season of indoor football. Wallace is no stranger to southwest florida spending 8 of those seasons with the now defunct af2 firecats.
During those eight seasons under center he has passed for over 22,000 yards and started over 100 games. In 2008, Wallace broke the all-time league records for touchdown passes (484) and passes completed (1,797). He became the af2s all-time yardage leader in 2009. Wallace stepped away from the game in 2010 to deal with some family issues only to re-surface in the AFL with the New Orleans Voodoo and the Pittsburgh Power during the 2011 season.
As a starter in the AFL Wallace compiled a 2-1 record leading the Power to a thrilling 39-38 win over the Milwaukee Mustangs that included a breath-taking, last-second touchdown score. Wallace will bring much needed leadership and knowledge to the already talented roster.
