
Florida State League Play-Offs Begin Tonight

In one of the tightest races in Florida State League History, the Lakeland Flying Tigers won the North Division Second Half by a game over the Clearwater Threshers and the Dunedin Blue Jays. The Flying Tigers now take on the Dunedin Blue Jays, winner of the first half, in a three game series for the 2012 Division Championship. In the South Division the Jupiter Hammerheads, winner of the second half, take on the St. Lucie Mets, winner of the first half for the South Division Championship. The two series will begin today, September 4, 2012.
The winners of the Division Series will then face each other in a best of five series for the 2012 Florida State League Championship. The North Division will be the host Division in the Championship Series. There are no days off during the Division and Championship Series.
