
Florida State League Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period June 30 "" July 6, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Charlotte Stone Crabs Infielder Patrick Leonard. In seven (7) games he collected 13 hits in 28 plate appearances for a .464 batting average. His hits included one (1) homerun, one (1) triple, and one (1) double. He had four (4) RBI's and scored ten (10) runs. He also had one (1) stolen base. Patrick is in his third year of professional baseball and his hometown is St. Johns, FL.
The Pitcher of the Week was Lakeland Flying Tigers Lefthander Josh Turley. He started one (1) game and in eight (8) innings pitched recorded a 0.00 ERA. He allowed only two (2) hits, three (3) walks, and struck out eight (8) batters. He had no decision. Josh is in his third year of professional baseball. He was born in Texarkana, TX.
