The Florida State League named the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period April 4 - 14, 2013.
The Player of the period was Palm Beach Cardinals Outfielder James Ramsey. In 10 games he had 15 hits in 36 plate appearances for a .417 batting average. His hits included one homerun, two triples, and four doubles. He had four RBI's and scored 12 runs. He had one stolen base. His OBP was .523 and his slugging average was .722. James is in his second year of professional baseball and resides in Alpharetta, GA.
The Pitcher of the Week was Daytona Cubs Right-hander Ryan Searle. He started two games and recorded one win and a 0.00 ERA. In 8 1/3 innings, he gave up three hits, issued one walk, and struck out 10 batters. Ryan is in his sixth year of professional baseball and he resides in Narangba, Australia.
