The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the week for the period June 4 "" June 10, 2012.
The Player of the week was Dunedin Blue Jays Infielder Kevin Ahrens. He played in five games, collected eight hits in 17 plate appearances for a .471 batting average. His hits included two homeruns and one double. He had eight RBI's and scored six times. His OBP was .500 and his slugging average was .882. Kevin is in his sixth year of professional baseball and resides in Houston, TX.
The Pitcher of the week was Tampa Yankees Right-hander Shane Greene. He started one game, recorded a win and had a 0.00 ERA. In 6 innings pitched he allowed no hits, runs or walks. He struck out eight batters. Shane is in his fourth year of professional baseball and resides in Clermont, FL.
