Fleck signed as Hounds' Equipment Manager

Hoffman Estates, Ill. (August 28, 2006) - The Chicago Hounds and Coach Greg Puhalski announced today the signing of Jerry Fleck as Equipment Manager for the 2006-2007 season. Fleck brings experience and enthusiasm to the job.

With almost a decade of experience as an equipment manager, Jerry Fleck is a true asset to the Hounds inaugural season. Fleck comes to the Chicago Hounds after working with the Men's Hockey Team at Cornell University. Prior to Cornell, Fleck worked with both the Chicago Steel (USHL- Junior "A") and Chicago Freeze (NAHL Junior "A") teams.

"Gerald has a great understanding of what makes a team work, behind the scenes," said Coach Puhalski, adding, "we are lucky to have him aboard."

Fleck is a graduate of Thornton High School (Harvey, IL) and Thornton Community College (renamed South Suburban College). As a distinguished veteran of the Army's 9th Infantry Division, Fleck was twice recognized for his efforts in Vietnam with the Purple Heart. Fleck resides in Geneva, IL with his wife Pat. Pat is an employee of AT&T. Jerry and Pat are the proud parents of Ryan (20), a sophomore at the University of Northern Iowa, and Allison (18), studying at Waubonsie Junior College.

The Sears Centre, home to Hounds hockey, is an 11,000-seat state of the art multi-purpose family entertainment, sports and cultural center under construction in Hoffman Estates' Prairie Stone Business Park. Located right at I-90 and Route 59, it will host more than 135 events each year, and is projected to attract more than 750,000 annual visitors.
