Flash Playoff Tickets on Sale Wednesday

Buffalo, N.Y. (August 9, 2011) - Tickets for the Western New York Flash 2011 WPS league playoffs will go on sale to the general public Wednesday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. EST

The Flash have two games remaining in the WPS 2011 Season. In order to clinch first place and a direct bid into the WPS Championship match, the Flash needs two wins or a win and tie in their final two matches. As the Regular Season Champion, the Flash would host the Championship Match on Saturday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m., at Sahlen's Stadium. If the Flash is tied with Philadelphia at the end of the regular season, the Flash would host the Super Semi-final Match on Saturday, August 20 at 4:00 p.m. at Sahlen's Stadium as Philadelphia holds the head-to-head tie-breaker.

The Flash is excited to host its first post season game for our fans," stated Renee Meier, Director of Marketing and Sales. "Regular season ticket pricing will remain in effect for the post season match so all fans can afford to see the best women in the world play soccer. Sahlen's Stadium, with a 13,500 seat capacity, is a soccer specific stadium sure to provide the best fan experience and quality soccer since the World Cup!"

The Flash play their final regular season home game, Sunday August 14, at Sahlen's Stadium vs. the Atlanta Beat at 6 p.m. This game is also the "See Extraordinary Heroes" sponsored by PUMA's Project PINK.
