Fisher Cats Announce Dates for PA Announcer Auditions and Gameday Staff Job Fair

Ever thought of working in minor league baseball? Better yet, ever dreamed of your voice being heard by thousands of fans each night, all ears locked in on your every word?

Dream no further. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats announced today that they will hold auditions to be the team¹s first public address announcer in mid-February, to be followed soon after by the team¹s first gameday staff job fair.

First, the team is holding open auditions for the public address announcer position on Thursday, February 19 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Palace Theater in downtown Manchester. Anyone 18 or over is eligible to compete for this paid position. To get more information and to sign up, call the Fisher Cats at 641-2005 or send an email to [email protected]. Auditions will be scheduled only for those who reserve ahead of time.

No prior experience is necessary -- all that is needed to audition is an abundance of energy, a great voice and the ambition to be a great goodwill ambassador for the Fisher Cats.

³This job is open for everyone. We¹re looking to discover pro sports¹ next great public address announcer,² said Fisher Cats president and general manager Shawn Smith. ³We feel pretty looking to be getting paid to entertain the fans of the Granite State, and now, we¹re looking to add to our ranks. Bring your ŒA¹ game to The Palace, and you could be the one.²

Two days later, the team will hold their first annual job fair on Saturday, February 21st at their Hampshire Plaza Mall offices at 1000 Elm Street. The fair runs from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and will feature openings for a variety of game day positions, including ticket takers, concessions operations, ushers, parking attendants, and merchandise hawkers.
