New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and Swim With a Mission are proud to provide two parking spaces for veterans attending Fisher Cats home games at Delta Dental Stadium.
The designated parking spaces will be free for veterans to use on a first-come, first-served basis. The spaces will be available starting with Tuesday's home game against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
The Fisher Cats will recognize all active-duty military and veterans Friday, June 2, on Military Appreciation Night at Delta Dental Stadium. Fifty percent of all individual ticket sales will go toward Swim With a Mission. Military and veteran groups will be present on the concourse, and there will be a 50-50 raffle to help raise funds for the organization. The Fisher Cats will wear special patriotic jerseys that will be auctioned, with proceeds benefitting Swim With a Mission.
"We are grateful to the Fisher Cats and Delta Dental Stadium for their continuing commitment to honoring our active-duty military and veterans who serve our great country," said Phil Taub, co-founder of Swim With a Mission. "They are setting a great example in our community that we hope other businesses will follow."
Swim With a Mission is a nonprofit organization that raises money and donates to worthy organizations that provide services and support to veterans. The organization addresses key issues affecting New Hampshire's veterans and educates the public on issues facing veterans.
"We are pleased to continue working with Swim With a Mission to provide these designated parking spaces at Fisher Cats home games," said Brandon Caron, Assistant General Manager of the Fisher Cats. "We are always searching for ways to honor those who have served our country. This is a small way of showing our appreciation and giving support to veterans and their families."
The Fisher Cats begin a six-game home series against the Rumble Ponies Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. and play regular-season home games at Delta Dental Stadium through Sunday, September 17. Full and half season ticket memberships, as well as mini-plans, are available at NHFisherCats.com, via email at info@nhfishercats.com, by phone at (603) 641-2005, and in-person at the Fisher Cats box office on 1 Line Drive in Manchester. Single-game tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 6.
