First Place Pride to Host Sky Blue FC in Team's First Sunday Match of the Season

Hayward, CA (June 25, 2010) - FC Gold Pride (7-2-1) will close out its first set of back-to-back games in their newly inaugurated home field, Pioneer Stadium, this Sunday with a match against defending WPS Champion Sky Blue FC.

The Pride is the only team in WPS that remains unbeaten when playing on their home field and looks to keep the streak alive, by defending their turf this weekend against the fourth place team. Sunday's match will also be the final game for the Pride's WPS All-Stars Shannon Boxx, Rachel Buehler, Marta, Christine Sicnlair, Kelley O'Hara and Head Coach Albertin Montoya before they head to Atlanta to strut their stuff in the second annual WPS All-Star Game presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve on June 30.

Fox Soccer Channel will feature this weekend's exciting east versus west matchup as the WPS Sunday Game of the Week, which can be seen live at 3 PM PT. Fans can also stream the game online or on their IPhone.
