HEAVYWEIGHT BOUTS: The Indiana Ice added onto their Eastern Conference lead over the weekend as the team collected a pair of wins against potential Clark Cup contenders in the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Chicago Steel. Indy started the weekend in grand fashion as Brian Pinho's two-goal performance fueled the Ice in a decisive 6-2 win over Waterloo from Pan Am Pavilion on Friday. Jason Pawloski bested 36 of 38 shots for his 23rd win of the season while Austin Kosack (2A), Vince Pedrie (2A) and Scott Conway (G, A) all logged multiple-point nights. The team then followed up the win on the USHL's "Grandest Stage of them All" on the Ice's 20th annual "Pack the House for Charity" night, topping the Steel 4-1 in front of a league season-high 12,100 fans. Denis Smirnov potted a pair of goals while Pinho's hot hands added two points (G, A) in the effort. Aidan Muir (G, A) and Dywer Tschantz (2A) also recorded multiple point efforts in the fray while Hayden Stewart maintained a perfect 7-0-0 record with Indy.
