The East Texas Pump Jacks have charged to the finish line, clinching a playoff spot just in the nick of time. The postseason opens on Saturday, but that doesn't mean the Pump Jacks can't have a little fun before getting down to serious business in the playoffs.
The Jacks host the playoff-bound Acadiana Cane Cutters for the final home series of the regular season Thursday and Friday at Historic Driller Park.
The series kicks off Thursday with the return of Thirsty Thursday. Fans can enjoy ice-cold draft beers for one dollar or thirst-quenching regular soft drinks for just 50 cents. What better way is there to enjoy the Pump Jacks preparing for the postseason than with discounted frosty beverages?
The Pump Jacks will go out with a bang on Friday with Fireworks Friday presented by CBS 19 on their final game of the regular season. This will be the last of the Jacks' famous fireworks shows this summer, set to light up the night sky after the game.
Traditionally, the last fireworks show celebrates the summer with highlights from the season's broadcasts, and this show will be no different. Share the excitement and get pumped for the playoffs with the last fireworks show of 2014!
Feast Seats and Lower Box Seats, both of which include in-your-seat wait service, are still available for Friday. Both sections all but sold out for the last Fireworks Friday, so fans are encouraged to get their tickets early so they don't miss out.
The Pump Jacks will open the postseason Saturday on the road against the Brazos Valley Bombers, with a berth in the TCL Championship Series on the line.
If the Jacks defeat the Bombers, Game One of the TCL Championship Series would be at Driller Park on Sunday night. Games Two and Three would then take place on the road, hosted by either the Cane Cutters or the Victoria Generals.
