Fire Face Cleveland City Stars In Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round July 1

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (June 25, 2008) - The Chicago Fire will play the Cleveland City Stars of the United Soccer League's Second Division in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. CT at TOYOTA PARK.

Tickets for the game are priced as follows - Club Seats ($65), Premier ($35), Corner Kick ($25), Firehouse ($20) and Supporters ($15). Fire season, club and suite ticket holders can use Bonus Game 4 for their ticket to the game and Bonus Game Parking Coupon B. Tickets can be purchased by calling 888.MLS.FIRE, logging on to www.chicago-fire.com or through Ticketmaster outlets. Fans can also purchase tickets by visiting the TOYOTA PARK Box Office Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. CT and three hours prior to kick-off.

A Buy 1, Get 1 free ticket offer for the Open Cup match-up is available for Corner Kick & Firehouse seating areas only by purchasing in advance at the TOYOTA PARK Box Office, or on day-of-game at TOYOTA PARK. Groups of 15 or more can also take advantage of the Buy 1, Get 1 free offer by calling 888.MLS.FIRE.

Should the Fire win on July 1, their quarterfinal game would be July 8 at a site to be determined. The tournament's semifinals are scheduled for Aug. 12 with the final set for Aug. 26.

The Chicago Fire have won four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups (1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006) and finished as the runner-up in the 2004 edition of the tournament.

The Fire (6-5-1, 19 pts.) return to MLS play this Saturday, June 28 vs. San Jose. Kickoff for that match is set for 7:30 p.m. at TOYOTA PARK (My50 Chicago). Tickets for that match can be purchased at the same aforementioned ticket outlets.
