Final Redfish Game Upcoming

Port Charlotte, FL - Tuesday, August 28 is the last Charlotte County Redfish game of the 2007 Inaugural Season. It will be Fan Appreciation Night, and general admission tickets will be free with a $1 donation to charity.

Box seats, reserved seats, and hot dogs will all be two for the price of one. The game will begin at 7:05 PM, with gates opening at 6:00 PM. All ticket money collected will be divided and given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Hands Across the World.

"Chili's and Upscale Barber have sponsored several of our events this year," said Redfish Assistant General Manager Bob Ford. "Chili's works very closely with St. Jude Hospital, and Upscale Barber contributes many of their proceeds to Hands Across the World. Since both of these are very worthy causes, the Redfish would also like to give something back by donating all of our ticket money to these two organizations on Fan Appreciation Night."

The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital believes that no child should be refused treatment based on an inability to pay. Since 1962, more than 20,000 children from across the United States and 70 foreign countries have been treated thanks to St. Jude.

Upscale Barber will be cutting hair at the Redfish game on Tuesday. All money collected from hair cuts will go to Hands Across the World, an organization that provides a first contact for newly arrived immigrants and refugees who do not have the language or living skills necessary to thrive in our community.

"It's great to be in a position to be able to give back to organizations like St. Jude and Hands Across the World," said Redfish General Manager Steven Tricarico. "It feels good to know that the money raised on Fan Appreciation Night will go on to reach good people and help them through some pretty hard times."
