
Fightin' Falcons to hold tryouts

Surprise Fightin' Falcons News Release
With opening day 49 days away the Surprise Fightin' Falcons will be holding their final tryout Sunday April 17, 2005. This tryout will finalize the roster before the team heads into spring training this May for their inaugural season.
Field Manager Ozzie Virgil Jr. and Hitting Coach Pete LaCock will be running the tryout. Registration will begin at 8 AM at Surprise Stadium, with the tryouts starting at 9 AM.
"We have over 100 players coming out for the last remaining spots we have," said Matt Jones, Surprise Fightin' Falcons general manager. "We get calls and e-mails every day of guys looking for a place to play."
Gates open at 9 AM for the public to come and watch the tryouts.
