After a week of being thankful, there are some on-ice hostilities to take care of.
Sunday, November 29th
3:00 PM: Connecticut Whale at Boston Pride (Bright-Landry Hockey Center, Cambridge MA)
TV - NESN (New England), ESPN 3 (Streaming)
Game Notes - Boston ran into the brick wall known as Nana Fujimoto for the second straight week. Despite another 40+ shot effort, the Pride only managed two goals losing their second straight 3-2 decision. Hilary Knight picked up her eighth point of the season with a first period goal, while Amanda Pelkey scored on the power play. Connecticut is a league leading 5-0-0 following a wild 7-6 shootout win in Buffalo. The Whale had six different goal scorers in that game.
7:00 PM - Buffalo Beauts at New York Riveters (Aviator Sports & Events Center, Brooklyn, NY)
TV: NWHL Cross-Ice Pass
Game Notes - New York received scoring from Brooke Ammerman, Madison Packer and Meghan Fardelmann in last weekend's 3-2 victory over Boston. The Beauts came back from a 6-1 second period deficit to earn their first point against Connecticut. Kelley Steadman, the league's goal scoring leader, was named NWHL Player of the Week after netting a pair in that game.
