Oliver's Late PP Goal Helps Edge Port Huron 7-6

(Port Huron, MI) The Brewster Bulldogs were not going to let another one goal lead slip away in the final minutes and this time they seal the deal with a 7-6 victory, but the Prowlers didn't help themselves either.
Easton Oliver would score on a Brewster Power play with a 1:40 left to go in the third period. A roughing minor assessed to Justin Alonzo with two minutes and change left on the clock in the third.
A Brewster Power play which was already three for five on the night made it four for six. Easton Oliver would net the game winner with 1:40 left to go. On a night when the Prowlers put up six goals, they couldn't muster one more by James Robbins. Brewster's power play has scored at least one goal in the last 6 games and it's 10 for its last 32.
Chris Leveille's four goal night (six points) was spoiled in the losing effort. His hat-trick goal came midway through the second period to put the Prowlers up 4-2. Then three straight goals from David O'Conner, Jan Salak and Dustin Jesseau put Brewster back up top 5-4, late in the second period and it would stay that way, after two frames.
Third Period another Chris Leveille sighting 3:08 in the third period would tie the game back up at 5. Matt Beer picked up his third goal in two games 1:34 after the Leveille goal and the Prowlers were back on top 6-5. Sean Maaktak would then get the equalizer with just under ten minutes to go, and Easton Oliver's late power play goal would seal the deal Brewster picks up an unexpected four out of six points.
River Drivers Late Rally Comes Up Short Fall to Demolition, 4-3

Berlin's late surge falls short to the Dayton Demolition. The game opened up as Tyler Prendergast got the home team on the board first coming at 7:26 of the first period with Ton Tracy and Austin Daae getting assists. Berlin extended their lead at 12:04 of the first period when Brantley Sherwood found the back of the net, Pavel Kubena and Jiri Pestuka had assists on the play. The two goal lead was short lived for the Riverdrivers when Dayton's Martin Uhnak got the visitors on the board at 12:52 of the first. Brian Marks and Patrick Harrison got credit for assists on the play. The Riverdrivers would head to the locker room with a 2-1 lead after one period of play. The second period belong to the Demolition. Dayton tied the game up just 1:32 into the second period coming of the stick of Cory Giroux, Eric Witzel and Patrick Harrison were credited with assists. After tying the game Dayton would pull ahead at 10:07 of the second period scored by Michael Dolman assisted by Brad Townsend. Dayton would take the 3-2 lead into the third period. Dayton would up their lead by two at 10:26 of the third period when Cory Giroux would net his second of the game with Myles McCauley and Martin Uhnak with assists. The Berlin Riverdrivers would fight back as Austin Daae cut the Dayton lead to one with 1:08 remaining in the third, Andre Niec and Pacel Kubena got assists on the play. Dayton would succeed in closing out the final minute to play and hold on for the road trip victory.
The Berlin Riverdrivers resume play tomorrow when they head to Brewster, NY to take on the Brewster Bulldogs. Game time is 7:30pm.
