Fever Road Trip Continues Thursday in Dallas

Indiana Fever News Release
The Fever visit the Dallas Wings on Thursday as Indiana continues its five-game road trip. Currently undefeated on the trip, the Fever have an opportunity to grab a sixth straight win and take the regular season series against the Wings. The series is split 1-1 heading into Thursday's matchup with both teams in the running for the postseason. A season series win would give Indiana the head-to-head tiebreaker over Dallas should it become critical in playoff seeding.
Indiana can clinch a playoff spot with a win in Dallas.
The Fever defeated the Dream to open the road trip, then toppled Toronto on Tuesday, and now head to Dallas as they continue their hot pursuit of the WNBA playoffs. After a stop in Dallas, Indiana will travel to New York then Chicago to close out the road trip.
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell have set a high bar for backcourt duos - the pair notched a combined 53 points in Tuesday's game, and set a new league record for games in which they each score 20 or more points this season. Clark and Mitchell have reached that mark 16 times to pass Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter's mark of 15 games in 2008.
Mitchell's 29 points against Toronto matched A'ja Wilson's WNBA record of 20 straight games with 20 or more points. Should Mitchell score 20 points on Thursday, she would break Wilson's record.
The Fever are 8-2 in their last 10 contests - a stark contrast from Dallas' 3-7 in that same span. Indiana's momentum is strong as the regular season winds down, but multiple meetings with playoff-bound teams remain on the schedule. The Wings are eighth in the league's overall standings with a 20-16 overall record.
Dallas has its own fiery backcourt - two-time all-star Paige Bueckers leads the Wings in scoring at 20.5 points per game, and is joined by Arike Ogunbowale at nearly 15 points per game. Jessica Shepard holds the Wings down in the post, and averages nearly 14 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists per game.
Dallas has been without its first overall pick in the 2026 draft, Azzi Fudd, since early August as the rookie guard battles knee soreness in the latter half of the WNBA season. Fudd's status for Thursday's matchup with the Fever is uncertain, but she gives Dallas a legitimate outside shooting threat when she takes the floor for the Wings.
Indiana's upcoming stretch of schedule is a critical point for the Fever's postseason positioning. With five straight wins behind them, the Fever are in position to roll that momentum into a key win at Dallas on Thursday before visiting New York on Saturday. Indiana will finish its five-game road trip in Chicago on Sunday, August 23, before returning to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday, August 28, for a clash with the Connecticut Sun.
