Indiana Fever News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever announced today the team re-signed forward Emma Cannon to a multi-year contract. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"Emma's competitiveness was always a main reason why we wanted to keep her in Indiana after a very productive stint with us. She has greatly improved her scoring ability overseas during the offseason and we look forward to her remaining with our franchise," Fever Head Coach Marianne Stanley said.
Cannon proved to be an integral part of the 2021 Fever roster following multiple injuries plagued the roster. Last season, Cannon became the fifth woman in WNBA history to play for three different teams during the same season.
With Indiana, Cannon averaged 6.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 18.4 minutes per contest in 12 games, while starting the first six games of her career. She signed the first of three 7-day contracts with Indiana on July 28, before ultimately being signed for the rest of the season on September 6.
In 21 games with Ramla in Israel during the 2021-22 season, Cannon is averaging 24.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
This January, Emma's wife gave birth to their son, Dior.
