Kennewick WA - The Fever are proud to announce the signing of Offensive Linesmen John Donatto, Nose Guard/Offensive Linesmen John Retzlaff, and Receiver George Carter.
Donatto, standing 6"4" and 330 lbs., had a collegiate career at Division II power Midwestern State. Donatto was worked out by several NFL scouts following his college career and has experience in the indoor game at both the NIFL and af2 levels. At 6'1" 305 lbs., Retzlaff was a key leader for the University of Wisconsin - River Falls (UWRF) Falcon defense. He anchored the middle of the defense in 2004 and 2005 after making the move to nose guard from the offensive line. In just over two seasons at the nose guard position he collected 89 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 quarterback hurries, 2 pass break-ups, 1 interception, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. In 2005 he was named to the NCAA All-American Third-Team at defensive tackle.
George Carter spent his collegiate career at Linfield College in Oregon, where his receiver statistics decorate the record book including second all time in receptions with 176 and second all time in pass receptions for touchdowns with 31. Linfield captured the NCAA Division III National Championship during his senior season.
