Fever Back in Indy for Clash with Aces

Indiana Fever News Release
The Fever host the Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday as they return from a three-game road trip. Indiana went 2-1 on the trip, and looks to get back to its winning ways against a strong foe in the Aces.
The Fever backcourt duo of Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell has been the driving force of Indiana's recent offensive surge. The Fever averaged over 100 points per game for the entire month of July, and set a new league record for 100-point games in a season.
Clark recorded the fourth triple-double of her career last Friday in a win against Portland, and Mitchell is just one game away from tying A'ja Wilson's streak of consecutive 20-point games in a single season. Mitchell's streak sits at 14 games entering the matchup with the Aces, while Wilson's single season streak is 15 consecutive games. Wilson also holds the WNBA's longest overall streak of consecutive 20-point games - she put together 20 such consecutive performances that spanned two seasons.
Wilson is the head of the snake for the Aces' attack. She's leading the team in scoring and rebounding while also holding it down on the defensive side of the ball. Wilson averages 26.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and two blocks per game.
In the two previous meetings between the Aces and the Fever, Indiana took both contests with a 25-point average margin of victory. Wilson was sidelined in the initial matchup, but returned to the lineup for Las Vegas in the July 12 meeting. She scored 20 points in the 109-75 defeat, while Mitchell recorded 27 points in both games.
Indiana's matchup with the Aces on Thursday marks its lone contest in Gainbridge Fieldhouse this week. The Fever will make a quick trip to Chicago for a clash with the Sky on Saturday before returning to Indianapolis on Tuesday to open a two-game homestand against the New York Liberty, followed by the Dallas Wings.
