
Federal Hockey League to Announce Two Neutral Site Venues this Week

The Federal Hockey League is proud to announce that the league has agreed with two new cities to bring neutral site league games to their venues this season (2013-14). The FHL, in its 4th season of operation will be releasing the cities, venues, and dates this week. There will also be information on how fans can purchase tickets and marketing opportunities.
Since dropping the puck on October 29, 2010, over 300,000 fans have filed through the gates to watch Federal Hockey League action. The Federal Hockey League mission is to develop and provide good quality, affordable, fun, family entertainment for their communities. The league and its ownership groups are committed to providing the highest level of customer service to their fans. In the four years of operation the FHL has developed strong competitive level of play that has seen over 150 player promotions & call ups with over 700 games played at the AA & AAA levels of professional hockey.
The Federal Hockey League roster & player profile has included former NHL draft picks, NCAA-Division I & DIII, Ontario Junior Hockey League, Quebec Major Junior League, & the Western Hockey League, as well as numerous European players. In addition, three former National Hockey League veterans have skated in FHL games, totaling over 90 contests.
Since the 2010 inaugural season, the Federal Hockey League has been featured in The New York Times, the New York Daily News, espn.com, the Jimmy Fallon Show, The Hockey News, MSG, Yahoo-Puck Daddy, NESN, & Barstoolsorts.com among others.
Also in 2013, the Federal Hockey League also conducted the first ever College/Junior Hockey Draft. It is believed that this the first time a professional Minor League has conducted a draft of this sort.
