February Players of the Month Named

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the February Offensive and Defensive Players of the Month winners. San Diego's Boris Pardo earned the defensive honors while Jorge Rios of the Chihuahua Savage earned the offensive.
Pardo recently won the Week 13 Defensive Player of the Week award as well. Through the month of February Pardo had a 6-0 record and stopped 54 shots. He leads the league in wins with 12 beating the next closest goalkeeper by four.
Jorge Rios earns the offensive honors through Chihuahua's February heat-up. Rios scored 10 goals and earned four assists in the month. He also scored one game-winning goal and contributed for one game-winning assist. Rios is now third in the league for goals scored.
San Diego currently leads the league in points with 42 and can clinch a playoff spot with a win in regulation or overtime. Going into Sunday's game Chihuahua is on a seven-game winning streak and San Diego is on a 12-game win streak. Game time is 8:05pm EST at the Pechanga Arena San Diego.
