EDMONTON, AB (July 8, 2014) - Call it a change in scenery or FC Edmonton's second home, but the Eddies will be starting off the 2014 North American Soccer League season on July 13 against Ottawa Fury FC at Commonwealth Stadium while Clarke Stadium finishes up its new turf installation.

"This was always a possibility," said FC Edmonton general manager Rod Proudfoot. "We are happy with the work being done at Clarke, but due to some unforeseen delays, we had to make a decision. We'd like to thank the City of Edmonton for being so accommodating."

When the gate opens at 3 p.m., fans will be asked to enter Commonwealth Stadium through gate 2 on the South-West corner. From there, seats along the lower East side will be open for fans.

Those that have pre-purchased tickets before Sunday's match will have first-come-first-serve seating in section T (this includes season ticket holders) at midfield. All other tickets that are purchased on match day will have general admission seating in sections S, U & V. Match day tickets will be on sale at the gates on Sunday for $20 (adult) and $15 (kids 15 and under), children under 3 years old will be admitted for free. FC Edmonton vouchers can be redeemed for general admission tickets at the gates at Commonwealth Stadium.

All of Commonwealth's usual amenities will be opened along the East concourse including food, beverages and washrooms. FC Edmonton's featured charity, the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, merchandise tents and an information booth will be located along the South concourse.

VIP parking will continue to be in parking lot C (south west of Clarke Stadium), parking in lot A and B will be available for $7.

FC Edmonton is investigating the possibility of broadcasting the World Cup final (1 p.m. MT KO) on Commonwealth's jumbo-tron before FC Edmonton's 4 p.m. KO. If successful, the gates will open at 12 p.m. MT.
