FC Tucson Wraps up Six-Match Road Trip in Statesboro

FC Tucson will look to grab their first win over South Georgia Tormenta FC this Saturday in Statesboro, GA. In their last meeting, Tormenta FC defeated FC Tucson 2-0 on April 26that Kino Sports Complex.
Last week, FC Tucson played to a 1-1 draw over current USL League One table leader, North Texas SC. In the 44thminute, midfielder Jamael Cox connected with forward Jordan Jones on a beautiful corner kick to give the Men in Black an early 1-0 lead.
North Texas midfielder Arturo Rodriguez scored the equalizer for the host side in the 79thminute.
Goalkeeper Carlos Merancio registered a season-high six saves in the contest, bringing his saves total to 27 on the year.
South Georgia Tormenta FC enters the match following a 2-1 loss against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, Aug 10th. Tormenta currently sits in fourth place in the table with a record of 8-5-6 and 30 points.
