FC Tucson News Release

TUCSON, Ariz. - FC Tucson unveiled today the club's 2021 PUMA Home Kit, officially dubbed The Desert Kingsnake Kit, ahead of the club's USL League One home opener on May 8 against Forward Madison FC.

Inspired by a species of kingsnake native to Arizona, The Desert Kingsnake Kit features a black hexagonal gradient design and gold sand textured FC Tucson crest, paying homage to the black scales and gold rings of the kingsnake. The jersey will feature the words, "Desert King" along with a kingsnake design in gold on the neck of the jersey.

"We are very excited to unveil The Desert Kingsnake Kit that embodies our beloved local kingsnake and represents the strength of the desert," FC Tucson President Amanda Powers. "We are proud to pay tribute to Southern Arizona with our first home kit with PUMA and look forward to defending the desert for our 2021 USL League One season."

FC Tucson worked in conjunction with the Southern Arizona Reptile Rescue & Education to feature their very-own rescued desert kingsnake, Yassin, who is up for adoption now. The Southern Arizona Reptile Rescue & Education is Tucson's only Licensed Reptile Rescue, dedicated to rescuing reptiles and giving them a temporary home until they find new, loving families.

The Desert Kingsnake Kit will serve as the club's home kit for the 2021 season campaign and is the club's second kit to release with PUMA since the club's February multi-year apparel partnership announcement with the global sports company.

FC Tucson will debut the kit this Saturday, May 8, for the club's home opener at Kino North Stadium at 7 p.m. MST. Fans can secure their tickets by visiting fctucson.com/tickets.

The jersey is on sale now at shop.fctucson.com and will be available for purchase at Kino North Stadium.
