June 3, 2021 - United Soccer League One (USL1)
FC Tucson News Release
TUCSON, Ariz. -- FC Tucson and Cox Communications recently announced a partnership that will bring soccer to Tucson's youth during the 2021 season. This partnership will bring hundreds of kids from the Sunnyside School District to each of FC Tucson's 14 home games so they can experience professional soccer firsthand. The Cox partnership will allow each student VIP status and premium pitch side seating at the game, in addition to underwriting transportation provided by Top Shelf and a healthy meal from AZ Fit Kitchen.
"Cox is pleased to partner with FC Tucson to bring a great season of soccer to the kids in our community,'' said Lisa Lovallo, Southern Arizona Market Vice President. "Together we will welcome more than 300 kids to the FC Tucson home matches this season, who would otherwise not be able to attend, and we hope this will excite and attract kids to play and experience this great sport."
"The FC Tucson Community Corner is developed to honor and recognize the city's youth population," said Amanda Powers, FC Tucson President. "With our friends at Cox Communications, we hope to lead to a new connection, greater inspiration and giving back."
The first game the Community Corner will be active is this Saturday, June 5, when FC Tucson host Toronto FC II at 7 p.m. at Kino North Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets at FCTucson.com/tickets.
