The Blues struck first in the 9^th minute after midfielder Desiree Scott sent a perfect cross into the box to Kelly who headed it in. It's Kelly's fifth goal of the season, tying for second with forward Shea Groom.

Fc Kansas City almost doubled their lead in the 18^th minute after forward Sydney Leroux beat Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell, but the rookie goalkeeper came up with a save diving save to push it out for a corner.

The Dash almost capitalized in the 22^nd minute after Houston defender sent a ball to Nichelle Prince who brought it down and tried her luck with a shot, but goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart had the save.

FCKC again came close to a second goal after Dash defender Bruna Benites fouled Groom right outside the box, setting up a free kick taken by defender Brittany Kolmel (nee Taylor), but the shot was handled by Campbell.

Barnhart came up big again in the 37^th minute after Prince sent the ball to forward Rachel Daly, who tested her luck, but was denied. Another defensive moment came in the 43^rd minute, but this time was from rookie defender Sydney Miramontez. Prince had Barnhart beat, but Miramontez made a sliding save off the goal line to keep the Dash off the scoresheet in the first half.

The second half started similar to the first with Kansas City controlling possession. Houston, however, got on the score sheet in the 53^rd minute after midfielder Kristie Mewis slid the ball across to Daly who put it in the back of the net to tie it up.

The Dash almost put another one on the board with a similar pass from Mewis to Daly, but Barnhart came up big to smother the shot. Barnhart continued to shine as she came up with another save in the 59^th minute when she stopped forward Janine Beckie's low shot.

The Blues almost took the lead in the 68^th minute after defender Becca Moros crossed the ball to a rising Groom who nearly headed the ball in, but it was snagged by Campbell for a save. Campbell made another save six minutes later after midfielder Lo'eau LaBonta cut the ball back to second-half substitute Katie Bowen whose low shot was stopped by the keeper.

The Blues were robbed on another chance, this time in the 81^st minute. Bowen crossed the ball back to Leroux who had a curler to the upper left corner, but a save from Campbell put it out for a corner.

Barnhart came up again with a huge save in the 89^th minute after Dash defender Camille Levin dribbled up the middle and took a point-blank shot, but the veteran goalkeeper came up with the stop.

Campbell made one more save in stoppage time to keep the score 1-1 as the Blues finish out the season with a point and a 8-9-7 record and 31 points.
