- HOME OPENER: Sunday, May 12th is FC Edmonton's home opener as they play Pacific FC.
- YOUNGSTERS AT THE BACK IMPRESS: 22 year old goalkeeper Connor James was brilliant in his professional debut, helping FC Edmonton earn a victory away to Valour FC. Meanwhile,the centreback pairing of 23 year old Mele Temguia and 24 year old Amer Didic had a goal and an assist, respectively, in addition to being solid defensively.
SORIA SHINES: Ramon Soria, wearing the captain's armband in place of an injured Tomi Ameobi, was among the best players on the pitch for FC Edmonton against Valour FC. The Spaniard was key in holding the Winnipeg outfit off the board until a late penalty.
- RETURN OF THE CAPTAIN?: FC Edmonton captain Tomi Ameobi did not travel with the club to Winnipeg for the club's first match. Will he be a part of Jeff Paulus' squad for the home opener?
FAMILIAR FACES RETURN: Former Eddie Ben Fisk makes his return to Clarke Stadium as part of Pacific FC. Meanwhile, former FC Edmonton Academy product Jose Hernandez, fresh off his first professional goal, also returns home.
