FC Edmonton and Canadian Tire All Play for Canada

EDMONTON, AB (July, 4 2014) - Canadian striker Frank Jonke will be a feature in Edmonton and surrounding area Canadian Tire's for the remainder of 2014 as FC Edmonton and Canadian Tire work together in support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart.

Canadian Tire, the Eddies Community Engagement Partner, will work with FC Edmonton for the 2014 North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Season by having FC Edmonton ticket vouchers available for purchase at Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park Canadian Tire locations. A portion of proceeds from all the vouchers sold at each location will be donated to Canadian Tire Jumpstart to support "giving kids a sporting chance."

"We are delighted to be partnering with Canadian Tire on a number of community initiatives," said FC Edmonton general manager Rod Proudfoot. "The Jumpstart program is a great example of how our organizations fit well together to add value to our youth and our community."

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a registered charity that has helped implement everything from summer programs to the registration of kids into recreational sports across Canada. Canadian Tire has been proudly working towards making its statement "We All Play For Canada" a reality for kids and families across Canada.

Vouchers can be purchased at Canadian Tire customer service desks at all Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park locations for $22 (including GST). These vouchers can then be redeemed in advance at the FC Edmonton front office (9725 62nd Ave) or at the ticket windows at Clarke Stadium on match days for seats to a Fall Season match of choice. Best seats available on match day will be assigned to these vouchers, providing fans with excellent savings opportunities.

FC Edmonton's next home match is July 13th against Ottawa Fury FC, all additional tickets can be purchased at www.fcedmonton.com or by calling 780.700.2600.
