
FC Edmonton Acquires Midfielder Simon Triantafillou

Edmonton, AB - FC Edmonton has confirmed they have acquired midfielder Simon Triantafillou on loan from Pacific FC.
Triantafillou, 23, played last season with Providence College (NCAA-Division 1), appearing in 21 matches (20 starts), while recording one goal and six assists. His six assists led the team.
Prior to joining the Friars, the Burlington, Ont. product spent four years with Syracuse University. In 66 career games (46 starts), Triantafillou recorded four goals and six assists.
"Simon is a technically sound and intelligent footballer who we are excited to work with," said FC Edmonton head coach Alan Koch.
"His mentality, attitude, and willingness to grow in our environment has been present since he came into training last week. I am excited to help him have a successful first professional season with FC Edmonton."
