CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati return to Nippert Stadium this weekend for a match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. The game will be televised locally on WSTR Star64, streamed regionally on FloFC, out of market on ESPN+ and carried on the radio on WDJO, while an audio stream will be available on the TuneIn app and fccincinnati.com.

FC Cincinnati (5-16-2, 17 pts.) enter the week after falling 2-1 to Toronto FC on Saturday evening. Emmanuel Ledesma recorded his third goal of the season for the Orange and Blue, and now has factored on six goals (three goals, three assists) in FCC's last six matches.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC (4-11-9, 21 pts.) open MLS Week 22 after playing Minnesota United to a scoreless draw on Saturday night. The result snapped a five-match losing streak for Vancouver. The Whitecaps are 1-6-6 in their last 13 contests.

Also this week, the FC Cincinnati Academy will formally begin training ahead of its inaugural 2019-20 season. The teams' first training sessions will be on Thursday, August 1, at the Mercy Health Training Center. The squads' first rosters will be announced later this week ahead of its first training session.

Ledesma Tallies Again

Emmanuel Ledesma recorded his third goal of the season at Toronto FC on July 27 ... the midfielder has been on the scoresheet in four of FC Cincinnati's last six matches ... with the goal, he is now tied with Kekuta Manneh for the team lead in both goals (3) and assists (3) ... Ledesma has scored three goals and has added two assists since June 29.

Van der Werff Makes MLS Debut

FC Cincinnati's newest addition, defender Maikel van der Werff, made his club and MLS debut in FCC's most recent match ... the center back started, played 90 minutes and recorded a team-high five clearances at Toronto FC ... the Orange and Blue announced the addition of van der Werff on July 2 and he was officially added to the club's roster following the receipt of his P-1 Visa on July 19.

Tytoń Returns to Net

Przemysław Tytoń made his first MLS start in nearly three months at Toronto FC on July 27 ... the goalkeeper made a key save in the 28th minute to deny Jacob Shaffelburg's long-distance effort ... prior to Saturday's match, Tytoń's most recent MLS appearance came on May 4 at San Jose ... Spencer Richey was unavailable for selection after sustaining a back injury in training.

Waston Joins Bertone on Caution Watch

Kendall Waston picked up his seventh yellow card of the season in the 62nd minute at Toronto FC ... the defender is now one yellow card away from receiving a second single-match suspension for yellow-card accumulation ... Leonardo Bertone also has seven yellow cards on the year and will receive a one-match suspension with an additional yellow card ... Waston and Bertone are FC Cincinnati's only players to receive one-match suspensions for yellow card accumulation this season.

Lamah Makes First Start Since Injury

Roland Lamah made his first start since June 6 for the Orange and Blue at Toronto FC this past Saturday ... the midfielder started and played 72 minutes before being replaced by Kekuta Manneh ... he missed four consecutive MLS matches after suffering a hamstring injury at New York City FC on June 6 ... Lamah made consecutive substitute appearances for FCC against D.C. United (June 18) and against the New England Revolution (June 21) before returning to the starting to the lineup.

Strong Second Half for Orange and Blue

FC Cincinnati statistically had one of their best second halves of the season at Toronto FC ... the Orange and Blue recorded 10 shots, including four on target, in the second half alone ... 10 shots in a second half ties FCC's second-best mark of the season, and trails only the 14 second-half shots recorded against Portland on March 17 ... defensively, FCC allowed just two second-half shots from the home side, setting a new mark for fewest shots conceded in a single half on the road.
