
Fayetteville's John Clewlow Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (March 27, 2013) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced John Clewlow of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Week for March 18-24.
Clewlow, who hails from Brampton, Ontario, scored three goals, including two game-winners, added five assists and was +5 as the FireAntz went 3-0-0 last week and clinched the regular season championship.
After recording an assist in a 6-1 win over Augusta on Tuesday, Clewlow scored a pair of goals (one shorthanded) and added two assists in a 7-2 win over the RiverHawks on Friday. Clewlow closed out the regular season Saturday with his second game-winner of the week to go along with two assists as Fayetteville defeated Huntsville 5-2.
Clewlow finished as Fayetteville's second-leading goal scorer, netting 20 goals and adding 20 assists in his first professional season. Previously, he spent four years at Elmira College and was named the ECAC West Player of the Week for the week of January 23, 2012.
