Rochester Lancers News Release

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced the return of midfielder Elliot Fauske for the 2015/16 season. This will be the fifth season with the Lancers for the 33 year old known as the "Mohican Warrior."

Fauske has been with the Rochester Lancers since 2011. During the 2011-12 season, he earned eight points for the Lancers. During the 2012-13 season, Fauske had 14 points. In the 2013-14 season, Fauske had a breakout year scoring a total of 13 goals, earning 32 points and helped raise $11,544 for Camp Good Days & Special Times through a charity initiative in partnership with Cellino & Barnes.

Fauske entered the 2014-15 season with news that he may never step foot on the field again. After experiencing recurring effects from a non-soccer related traumatic head injury 2008, doctors told him he couldn't play. He continued promoting the team, delivered the radio and TV commentary for game broadcasts, and did countless community and school appearances. In late January, he heard the news he'd been waiting to hear for months. The doctors cleared him to play again. Without wasting any time, he was added to the lineup and played in the team's next game against Harrisburg, a 21-12 win.

He finished the year with three assists and earned the team's Community Dedication Award for the third year in a row.

"Elliot does and has done so much for this club on and off the field since the inception of the organization in 2011," said Rich Randall, President of the Lancers. "We are excited to have him back for another season on the field, but even happier that his health has recovered."

Season tickets are now on sale. If ordered by May 1, fans will receive a $15 discount per ticket. To order tickets, or for full player bios, visit www.rlancers.com.
