Metropolitan Riveters News Release
New York, NY - The National Women's Hockey League (www.nwhl.co) today announced that New York Riveters forward Meghan Fardelmann has been named Player of the Week.
Fardelmann scored three goals in New York's 7-3 victory over Buffalo, marking the first hat trick in Riveters history. Two of the three tallies came during an 11 minute stretch in which New York turned a 1-1 tie into a 5-1 game. An empty netter with 1:52 left capped the afternoon's scoring.
The Riveters host the Connecticut Whale on Sunday, January 3rd at Aviator Sports & Events Center in Brooklyn. As an alum of Boston College, Fardelmann will join the Boston Pride for the first ever Outdoor Women's Classic presented by Scotiabank at Gillette Stadium on New Year's Eve.
