Fans Welcome at Free Agent Camp

The World Hockey Association 2 announced today that fans are invited to attend the Saturday and Sunday sessions of the inaugural WHA2 Free Agent Camp in Kissimmee, Fla.

The camp will be May 23-25 at The Ice Factory of Central Florida, the official practice facility of the Orlando Seals. The Ice Factory is located at 2221 Partin Settlement Road, Kissimmee, FL 34759.

"The response to the camp has been amazing, from both players and fans," said Peter Young, director of hockey operations for WHA2. "I've received inquiries from more than 70 players and applications from more than 40 already. One player is from the German First Division League, another from the Swedish First Division."

Friday, May 23 2- 4 p.m. (closed session)

Saturday, May 24 9–11 a.m.*

5:30–7:30 p.m.* Sunday, May 25 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.*

Fans wishing to attend will be asked to make a $2 donation to the Hockey 4 Kids charity. Children under the age of 10 are free.

Forty skaters and four goaltenders will be divided into two teams to play four games in front of coaches Stan Drulia (Orlando), Ron Duguay (Jacksonville), Zac Boyer (Miami) and Tommy Stewart (Lakeland). Following the final session, the four coaches will conduct a player draft for the upcoming WHA2 season.
