
Fans Wanted: Join The SPHL On Facebook

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 30, 2009) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced the launch of the league's official Facebook page.
"With all of the new avenues available to reach our fans over the Internet, we are excited to take this first step in extending the SPHL brand through the web's most popular site for social interaction," stated SPHL Vice President Doug Price.
"Our new Facebook page will initially allow fans to keep up with the latest league and team news, meet other SPHL fans online and engage in hockey-related chats and discussions," continued Price. "We will be adding new features throughout the season that will continue to enhance our page and further the SPHL fan base."

The SPHL on Facebook
Facebook is a social networking website through which users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. Users can also add friends, send them messages and update their personal profiles to notify their friends about themselves. A February 2009 Compete.com study has ranked Facebook as the most used social network by worldwide monthly active users.
