Fans Encouraged to Arrive Early for Comets Whiteout

Fans attending Game 3 of the Comets' Calder Cup Finals with the Manchester Monarchs are encouraged to arrive well before the 7p.m. puck drop to take part in the pregame festivities. Fans are also urged to be seated by 6:45p.m. in order to create the ideal championship atmosphere. Doors will open to everyone at 5:35p.m.

Immediately prior to puck-drop, the American Hockey League will present the Comets with the Robert W. Clarke Trophy, which is awarded annually to the league's Western Conference playoff champions. The trophy is named in honor of Robert Clarke who served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for the American Hockey League in 1967, a post he held through 1994.

The Calder Cup, along with the Keeper of the Calder Cup and Cecelie, will be roaming the tailgate party from 4-5p.m. Fans are encouraged to take photos with the Calder Cup, but are asked to not touch the prestigious trophy.

94.9 K-ROCK, the Comets flagship radio station will host the official Utica Comets Pre-Game WHITEout Party outside of The AUD. Rainman will broadcast his afternoon show live from 5 to 7 p.m outside The AUD. Fans are invited to join Rainman and his special guests before heading into The AUD to cheer on the Comets against the Monarchs.

For every home playoff game, all fans that enter the building dressed in WHITE will automatically entered to win an authentic, game-worn WHITE inaugural season jersey. Winners of the WHITE game-worn jerseys will be announced throughout the game. There will be multiple jerseys given away each game.

Leading up to the game, the Comets will be hosting a social media campaign, encouraging fans to change their Facebook and Twitter profile photos to the one matching the Comets.

It is also suggested fans arrive as early as possible to alleviate possible traffic issues entering the arena.
