Fanfest postponed
March 16, 2007 - International League (IL1)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release
Due to the predicted heavy snowfall in Northeastern Pennsylvania today and tomorrow, the St. Patrick's Day FanFest at PNC Field scheduled for Saturday, March 17 has been postponed. A tentative rescheduled date is March 31.
The box office at PNC Field will not be open for "walk-up" sales; however, individual tickets for all 2007 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees games will go on sale as scheduled at 10:00 a.m. online and over the phone.
Fans interested in purchasing tickets may do so online at www.swbyankees.com or www.ticketmaster.com and over the phone by calling Ticketmaster at 570-693-4100.
The PNC Field Box Office will reopen for walk-up sales Monday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m.
"In the interest and safety of our fans and staff, we felt postponing FanFest was the proper thing to do" said Yankees Executive VP/COO Jeremy Ruby. "It's very important to note individual tickets will still go on sale at 10:00 a.m. as planned, just not in person at the stadium."
