Savannah, GA - The Savannah Sand Gnats will hold their annual Fan Fest this Saturday, March 23 from 10 AM - 2 PM at Historic Grayson Stadium. The event is free, and is open to the public. Fan Fest will be held Rain or Shine.
Fan Fest will feature something for everyone in the family. For the kids, the Gnats will set up the Kids Zone with a four-way combo bounce house and the t-ball challenge. Fan-favorite Gnate T. Gnat will be on-hand to entertain and delight fans of all ages. The team will be offering behind-the-scenes tours of Historic Grayson Stadium, led by team vice-president Jeremy Auker. The Sand Lot, the Sand Gnats' Official Team Store, will be open and showcasing new Sand Gnats merchandise from New Era, Nike, 47 Brand and Retro Brand. There will also be a sidewalk sale featuring clearance items.
I-95 (the Rock of Savannah) and CBS Sports Radio 102.1 FM will be on hand, providing music on the Plaza.
Sand Gnats team president John Katz and vice-president Scott Burton will hold court behind the grill, offering up complimentary hot dogs, Cokes and chips to the first 1,000 attendees.
"Fan Fest is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and have that first hot dog of 2013," said Katz. "It's a great day to pick up tickets, give Gnate a hug and grab some fresh gear as we prepare for Opening Night."
Fan Fest will be the first opportunity for Season Ticket holders, Kids Club members and Silver Sluggers to pick up their tickets and special gift packages. Season Tickets, Flexplans, Kids Club and Silver Sluggers memberships will also be available to purchase on Saturday at Fan Fest. The Gnats Kids Club is open to children ages 12 and under, and includes a FREE general admission ticket to every Sand Gnats home game in 2013. Kids Club members also receive a free t-shirt, four tickets to five different Family Friday nights, discounts in the team store and on Sand Gnats baseball camps, along with prizes for attending games, all for just $25. Silver Sluggers is a ticket plan for fans aged 55 and up, and includes a General Admission ticket to 12 select home games, an exclusive t-shirt and discounts in the Sand Lot. The Silver Sluggers is an $85+ value for just $25.

OPENING NIGHT 2013
The Savannah Sand Gnats Opening Night is Thursday, April 4th against the Rome Braves, SAL affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Gates open at 5pm with First Pitch at 6:35pm. The first 5,000 fans on Opening Weekend will receive a Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by the Coca-Cola. Opening Night also features Thirsty Thursday, presented by Budweiser.
