Chillicothe Paints News Release

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, are pleased to announce the newest addition to the fan experience at V.A. Memorial Stadium - a pitch-speed display on the scoreboard, thanks to a new partnership with ClearSite Vision.

"This is a fantastic addition to the fan experience at VA Memorial Stadium. Fans have been asking how fast these pitchers are throwing year after year," said Paints managing partner Bryan Wickline. "Now, everyone can see how hard (or slow) these players can throw. We can't thank ClearSite Vision enough for sponsoring our pitch speed display."

The display was manufactured by Daktronics and measures 3 feet wide x 2 high with 30-inch high LED digits to make it easy for fans to see throughout the ballpark. A radar mounted in the press box wirelessly transmits the speed of each pitch to the display on the scoreboard.

"ClearSite Vision has a 68 year history in Southern Ohio, and we're proud to partner with the Chillicothe Paints. It is our hope the addition of the speed gun and readout will add an exciting new element; allowing the fans to see the speed of each pitch," said Dr. Allison Henderson, O.D., ClearSite Vision. "Come out to the ballpark and support your hometown Chillicothe Paints!"

Fans will get their first opportunity to see the new display in action when the Chillicothe Paints return home tonight, June 28, for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Butler BlueSox. Draft beer will be just one dollar for Thirsty Thursday!
