Kelowna Falcons News Release
Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Falcons are pleased to announce the signing of Ryan Stoup from Eastern Oklahoma State College.
Stoup is a highly recruited catcher that could log a number of innings for the Falcons in 2011. The freshman attended Roff High School in his hometown of Konawa, Oklahoma where he was standout. During his senior year "RT" would hit .431 with 11 homeruns, 42 RBIs and 11 doubles. As a matter of fact his high school team set a new homerun single season record of 131 in the spring of 2010.
Stoup is a business major at Eastern Oklahoma as he would like to continue his father's insurance business once his baseball career is over. He chose Eastern Oklahoma because of the growing baseball program and terrific coaching staff.
Being from Oklahoma, without a major league team, Stoup is a Texas Rangers fan and looks to Josh Fields and Yaider Molina as his baseball heroes.
