Falcons Sign 12 Players

The Fightin' Falcons signed 12 players this past Sunday at their local tryouts to fill out their roster for spring training. Added to the Fightin' Falcons roster were rookies Richard Quihuis-Bell (first baseman, University of New Orleans), Leif Ecklund (outfielder, University of Vermont), Josh Green (outfielder, University of Hawaii), Mike Shoaf (right-handed pitcher, Reno Astros), Dan Ellis (right-handed pitcher, University of California-Riverside), Erik Estrada (right-handed pitcher), Ignacio Estrada (right-handed pitcher, University of California San Bernadino), Brandon Tam (right-handed pitcher, Sonoma State), and experienced players Kevin Brand (third baseman, Colorado Rockies), Jay Yaconetti (third baseman, Elizabethon), Bobby Graves (left-handed pitcher, Florence Freedom/Richmond Roosters), and Chris Russ (left-handed pitcher, Stockton Cal League).

Spring training starts for the Fightin' Falcons on May 9th.

The Fightin' Falcons are still looking for Host Families for the 2005 Season. Hosting a Falcon player is truly a unique experience. Host families provide the players with a clean, friendly, healthy environment.
