Express Sign Florham Parks own Chris Hendershot

Madison, NJ - August 26th, - The Jersey Express signed local standout Chris Hendershot, of Florham Park, NJ.

Hendershot, stands 6'7, and plays a solid post game. His uncanny ability around the basket makes him an ideal role player. Chris will be a solid rebounder, and low post scorer for the team this season.

Chris played junior college basketball at Sussex County Community College, where he twice earned a selection on the All Region team, and was an All American in his sophomore year. He averaged 26 points and 12 rebounds during his All American campaign. He is currently Sussex County Community College's scoring leader.

Henershot moved on to play his final two years at Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Florham Park, NJ. Chris was named to the All Freedom Conferences First Team during his junior and senior seasons. Voted team MVP twice, Chris was also voted FDU Male Athlete of the year during his senior season. In 2005, the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association voted him Player of the week. Chris was the only D3 player to earn this honor in 2005. Chris holds numerous school records, and average 24 points and 10 rebounds per game in his senior season. He finished his two years at FDU having scored 1000+ points.

Chris played professionally in the EBA during the 2006-2007 season, and averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds, while earning First Team All EBA Honors. Chris played under new Head Coach Clarence Thompson, on his championship team in the Jersey Shore Basketball League this summer.
