Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ. The ABA Newark Express has announced the date, time and location of its 2nd Open Tryout. After word hit the streets about the intense workout that Coach Tony Campbell and his team of coaches and evaluators put the Newark Express potential candidates through, the owners feverishly began the quest of securing the next venue. Marsha Blount, team co-owner, said, "The initial response for our 1st Tryout was exciting, but since word hit the streets from our local Newark talent, the phone calls and emails have been overwhelming. We had to find another site and schedle another tryout immeidately."

Though all of the participants in the first tryout were not called back, Ms. Blount and her partner, Jackie Halyard, along with tryout facilitator Tony Campbell and staff have sent out congratulatory letters and invitations to some of the young men who participated. These players will either be invited to the next tryout and/or the Training Camp for a further look from the Newark Express coaching staff.

The 2nd Open Tryout is scheduled for Saturday July 23rd at The Pleasantville Recreation Center, 400 W. Brighton Avenue, Pleasantville, NJ 06232. Pre-registration fee is $150 (no personal checks).

Due to the high volume of interested candidates, pre-registration is vital in ensuring a place in the tryouts. Registration fee and applications must be submitted by July 16th to avoid any late or on site penalties. Space is limited.

There is no hype in the term "bring your game" to an Express tryout. For more information, email requests to newarkexpress@msn.com or call 973 586 0006 or visit www.abalive.com.
